Some people practice hospitality.

David Hoy seems to breathe it.

Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, David is 61 years old, a husband, a dad to six adult children, and a grandpa to eight grandchildren. With a family that size, David knows a thing or two about full tables, lots of personalities, and making room for one more.

But family is only part of what makes David who he is. At the center of his life is his love for Jesus and his desire to make Him known wherever he goes. David serves on the prayer team at his local church, and his faith is something he wants to live out in the everyday moments of life.

If you spend time with David, you will quickly notice that he pays attention to people. He remembers names, asks questions, listens, and genuinely wants to know the person in front of him. He has a way of making people feel comfortable from the very beginning, like you have been welcomed into the family before you even realize it.

That is one of the things we love about David.

He does not just talk about hospitality. He lives it in the way he shows up for people. Whether he is praying with someone, welcoming someone new, or simply spending time with the people God has placed around him, David has a natural way of making people feel seen, known, and cared for.

Maybe it comes from being a husband, a dad, and a grandpa. Maybe it comes from years of following Jesus. Or maybe it is simply the way God created him. Either way, David reminds us that hospitality does not have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like noticing someone. Sometimes it looks like listening. Sometimes it looks like pulling up a chair and making room.

And that is exactly the kind of hospitality David brings to Table 12.

He is a husband, a father, a grandfather, a servant, and a man who loves Jesus. More than anything, he wants the people he encounters to experience the love of Christ through the way he lives.

We are pretty sure that if you ever meet David, you will leave feeling like you have known him a whole lot longer than you actually have.

That is just David.
