The Heart of Table 12
You’re invited to take a seat and see what Table 12 is really about. This section gives you the heart behind our gatherings, the story that fuels us, and the reason we keep pulling up more chairs.
Mission Statement:
Opening our tables so people can open their hearts to God.
Vision Statement:
Until the day we take our seats at the great banquet in eternity, we will continue setting the table here on earth.
Biblical Foundation:
A lot of Jesus’s ministry was spent around the table, where He broke bread with sinners, seekers, skeptics, and saints. Throughout Scripture, we see countless instances where Jesus used the table as a place of teaching, healing, and connection. He dined with tax collectors like Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10), shared meals with sinners to demonstrate God’s grace (Mark 2:15-17), and performed miracles like feeding the five thousand (Matthew 14:13-21). The most significant meal of all, the Last Supper, was where He established communion, instructing His disciples to remember Him through the breaking of bread (Luke 22:19-20). This theme continues into eternity, where Revelation describes the great wedding feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9), signifying the ultimate gathering of believers in heaven. From the moment Jesus died on the cross until the day we see Him face to face, we have the opportunity to carry on His ministry by gathering people around the table, and sharing His love.
Our Why:
If gathering at the table was essential to Jesus’ life, it should be to ours. We continue His ministry, making the table a place of invitation, welcoming the lost and inspiring the found.
Who’s Invited:
Everyone of God’s kiddos. Yes, that includes YOU.
