Ryan’s life has always had a seat saved for other people. Not metaphorically. Literally.

For most of his marriage, his home has been full in the best way possible. People have lived with them, stayed for seasons, dropped in for dinner, or ended up staying longer than planned because somehow the space just felt safe. Around his table, conversations happen late into the night, prayers get prayed without ceremony, and people leave feeling like they belong somewhere.

Hospitality isn’t something Ryan tries to do. It’s just what his life has looked like for years.

That kind of life didn’t start in ease though.

In 2010, after a failed relationship and business venture left him broke and living on his brother’s couch, Ryan hit a point where he didn’t have much left to hold onto. Somewhere in that season, he came across a small Bible tract. He read it, prayed the prayer at the end, and gave his life to Jesus on his brother’s bedroom floor.

What looked like the lowest point became the beginning of everything changing.

In 2014, Ryan met his wife Laura at a retreat. What started as a friendship grew into a marriage in 2019, and eventually a life rooted in Arizona with their two kids, Zoé and Zeke. Together, they’ve built a home that feels less like a house and more like an open door.

Ryan also serves as the Prayer Team Leader at his local church, where he’s known for his steady presence, simple faith, and the way he prays like he actually believes God is listening in real time.

As an Elder of Table 12, Ryan helps provide spiritual guidance, biblical accountability, and prayerful leadership. His life reflects the very heart of the ministry: creating spaces where people are welcomed, relationships are built, and the love of Jesus is experienced one table, one conversation, and one prayer at a time.
